Greetings. Shaman Kharadzu here. The art and science of finding auspicious times to start a business, to hold a wedding, to start a journey, and so on is a very ancient one. Many different cultures practiced this art, but we often don’t have very much information about how their systems worked. Hinduism, however, has pretty good records, with large scriptures which have survived, such as the Bṛhat Jātaka and Bṛhat Samhita, where everything is well-explained. We have studied those ancient scriptures, and we use the Hindu system to find auspicious days and times, for ourselves and for clients like yourself.

If your good self is not a Hindu though, do not be concerned about that. It is not necessary to be a Hindu to reap the benefits. Astrology is similar to physical yoga practice, in a way, in the sense that many people may get something useful from it without actually becoming a Hindu.

This type of astrology is called “Muhurta Astrology,” or “Electional Astrology,” as in electing or selecting a start time. The word “Muhurta” is a Sanskrit word that means “auspicious moment.” Muhurta Astrology is the oldest kind of Hindu astrology, and it was used in bygone ages to find the most auspicious day and time to perform a ritual sacrifice. Eventually, Muhurta developed techniques for finding which days were fortunate for other kinds of activities, such as the best day to start a business enterprise, or to have a celebration, or to start a journey, etc. So that is the service we offer here, and we specialize in this area of astrology, and do not practice birth (or natal) astrology at all.

Actually though, the client’s birth chart is always consulted by us to find their Birth Nakshatra, sometimes called a “lunar mansion” or “lunar asterism,” which means the lunar sign that the client’s Moon was in at time of birth. That information allows to do what is called the “Tarabalam” for clients’ events, which may be different for every person, and which depends on their Birth Nakshatra. So that seems a kind of natal astrology. Also, the client’s rising sign can be important and we do examine that. But we do not practice normal natal astrology, which has mostly to do with personality. We are not so concerned about personality here, but rather concerned about finding Muhurtas, or auspicious moments.

With starting a business, the start is normally considered to be the formal registration of the business at your local government office, or buying the website domain, or both. So we would find for you the best day and time to execute those tasks. Generally, the clients have a rough idea of the timeframe, even if it is simply “as soon as possible,” and from that we can find the exact best possible execution time. Some other business-related tasks that clients might want the best time for are opening up a physical storefront, and starting an advertising campaign. It is just the start that matters. With advertising, it would be the time when the first ad runs. We can get you a time window, and then you must try to get within that time window with the TV or radio station, or whatever the medium is.

One of the worst faults in the Muhurta chart is called “Rikta” or “Sunya,” which means “empty.” Obviously, empty periods of time are completely avoided by us, for starting a business or advertising, and for just about everything else as well. There are many different kinds of bad fortune to avoid, and we make sure that you do indeed avoid them, or avoid as many of them as possible, with this service we offer.

We should mention that we believe our service is superior to other supposedly similar services out there, and for a number of reasons.

1: We do take the trouble to look at the client’s personal Tarabalam and we take that into account when searching for a good Muhurta.

2: We also take the trouble to look at the client’s personal rising sign, because the planet which rules that sign is considered to be a lucky planet for them.

3: We also take care to avoid Aseeveesham, a dangerous poisonous influence that is based on the Nakshatra that the last new moon occurred in. The Nakshatras which are poisoned change every new moon, and we keep up with that, and make sure that our clients are protected from the horrible poison.

4: We also use a full list of Yogas, not just a few of them. The Yogas are extremely important, and we don’t like to miss any of the important ones.

5: We also use Nadikas, which are 24-minute periods of time. There are 60 Nadikas in a day, and they change depending on the day of the week, and can be very specific. Looking at the Nadikas may be too much work or not feasible for some services, but not for us here at Sphinx Ziggurat.

6: We also explain our recommendation. Many people do not want a lengthy explanation, so we try to keep it to under half a page. But the explanation of the main decision points is indeed present.

7: And lastly, we are very expert on solutions for various kinds of planetary problems, including astrological solutions, but also solutions such as eating various kinds of foods, wearing various kinds of stones, chanting special mantras, and more. These kinds of fixes or solutions are very useful for finding good muhurtas, because there is practically always something or other that is a problem in a Muhurta Chart.

We should warn, however, that choosing an auspicious day and time to start a business will not make up for things like terrible business ideas, laziness, being horrible to one’s employees, and so on. The client has to have their part together, and that, in combination with a fortunate start time, should ensure good fortune.
